Emotional Navigation

To find my way in the journey each day,
Not all maps do what they say,
Yet if I was to use a compass & know,
My emotional navigation will help me go,
I recognize the thoughts I am thinking,
Metaphorically if I’m floating or sinking,
What I want & how I interact,
I’m fairly sure this is scientific fact,
Regardless, there is something to be said,
The wise inner voice in my head,
Not the same as a fast-racing thought,
Calm awareness is a clarity that’s caught,
As I want good relationships with others,
I can then realize the territory it covers.
