Remember this Time

This is working out to document a time,
When I sit & write rhyme after rhyme,
When I needed to write every day,
To keep afloat and not drift away,
To stand up for my right to live,
Unaware at what these words will give,
To those who choose to read my thoughts,
An expression in the way I was caught,
Feeling pressure of not being good enough,
Doing what I had to when times were rough,
Thoughts continue to run through my head,
I try to keep up & write what they said,
A new beginning; a pleasant change,
But for right now, things are very strange.
